Welcome to Karrio Home Services LLP's privacy policy ("Privacy Policy" or "Policy"). Karrio Home Services LLP and its affiliates (collectively, "Karrio", "we" or "us") operate the website https://karrio.in, the Karrio mobile application, and the Karrio Partner mobile application (collectively, the "Platform"). This Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and disclose personal data when you use the Platform or avail services through it (collectively, the "Services").
Unless defined in this Policy, capitalised terms have the meaning given in our Terms and Conditions. By using the Services, you confirm that you have read and agree to this Policy.
1. Data We Collect
We may collect:
- Contact data: name, phone, email, service addresses, and location information.
- Identity and profile data: account details, photographs where required for a service, and preferences.
- Booking and transaction data: bookings, payments, wallet activity, cancellations, and refunds.
- Location data: live location during active bookings, transport tracking, and map-based service flows.
- Technical data: device type, IP address, app version, logs, and usage patterns.
- Communications: support chats, call records where masked calling is used, and feedback.
We may also use aggregated or anonymised data that does not identify you directly.
2. How We Collect Data
- Directly from you when you register, book, pay, or contact support.
- Automatically through cookies, logs, and similar technologies on the Platform.
- From Professionals assigned to your booking, payment processors, and service providers that help us operate the Platform.
3. How We Use Data
We use personal data to:
- Register accounts and provide the Services.
- Match bookings with Professionals or transport partners.
- Process payments and refunds, including wallet credits.
- Send booking confirmations, updates, and service notifications.
- Improve safety, fraud prevention, and service quality.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.
4. Sharing of Data
We share need-to-know information with Professionals or drivers assigned to your booking (for example, name, contact details, and service address). We do not sell your personal data.
We use trusted third-party processors, including:
- Payments: Razorpay
- Maps: Google Maps
- Notifications and analytics: Firebase (including messaging, crash reporting, performance, and remote configuration)
- Storage: Tigris
- OTP: MSG91
- Email: Brevo
- Call masking: Exotel or a future provider with equivalent functionality
We may disclose data when required by law, court order, or government authority.
5. Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Platform, remember preferences, and understand usage. You may control cookies through your browser settings where applicable.
6. Data Security
We implement reasonable technical and organisational measures, including encryption in transit, access controls, and secure payment processing. You are responsible for keeping your account password confidential.
7. Data Retention
We retain personal data for as long as needed to provide the Services, resolve disputes, and comply with legal obligations. Transaction records may be retained as required under applicable law, including tax laws.
8. Your Rights
You may request access, correction, or deletion of your personal data by emailing support@karrio.in. We aim to respond within seven (7) working days, subject to legal requirements. You may also request account deletion via our Delete account page.
9. Payments (Razorpay)
We use Razorpay for payment processing. Our payment gateway does not store your full card data on our servers. Card data is encrypted through PCI-DSS standards when processed. Transaction data is retained only as long as necessary to complete and reconcile payments. For more information, see razorpay.com.
10. Transfers
Your data may be processed or stored on servers or by vendors located in India or other countries, subject to applicable law and contractual safeguards.
11. Children
The Services are not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children without appropriate consent.
12. Updates
We may update this Policy from time to time. The revised Policy will be posted on the Platform. Continued use after notice constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
